San Diego Landfill Prices Just Went Up — Here's What Changed in 2026
Effective July 1, 2026, the City of San Diego rolled out a new fee schedule for the Miramar Landfill and Greenery. Sycamore Landfill in Santee and Otay Landfill in Chula Vista also adjusted their rates. If you're planning a cleanout, remodel, or roofing job in San Diego County, these numbers directly impact what a dumpster rental actually costs.
Miramar Landfill (City of San Diego) — FY2027 Rates
Miramar is the largest disposal site in the county and sets the baseline for most haulers. These are the standard weighed load rates per ton for non-city (commercial/hauler) waste effective July 1, 2026:

Sycamore Landfill (Santee)
Sycamore serves East County and North County jobs where the haul to Miramar doesn't pencil out. Current 2026 posted rates:
- • General trash: $125 / ton
- • Green waste: $76 / ton
Otay Landfill (Chula Vista)
Otay handles the South Bay — Chula Vista, National City, Imperial Beach, and Otay Mesa. Otay does not publish rates online; call (619) 421-3773 for the current per-ton fee before you load. Expect general refuse to fall in the same $110–$130/ton band as Miramar and Sycamore.

- • Overweight loads = tonnage overages. Our $699 starting price includes 1 ton of debris. Anything above that is billed at the actual tipping fee we pay, not a padded upcharge.
