How to pick a size.
When in doubt, size up. The difference in price between a 20 and a 30 yard is small compared to the cost of swapping a full bin halfway through a job. Most homeowners doing a single-room remodel land on a 10 or 20. Most contractors running a full tear-off go with a 30.
For heavy debris — concrete, dirt, brick, tile, or asphalt — always stick with a 10 yard. Bigger bins can't legally haul more than the truck's weight limit, so the extra space goes unused.
