Rental.

Tearing out a kitchen, a bathroom, a slab, a pool deck, or a whole structure? Heverly & Sons rents demolition dumpsters across San Diego County built for the weight and bulk of demo debris — 10 yard for heavy material (concrete, tile, brick), 20-40 yard for mixed framing, drywall, and bulky tear-out. Starting at $699 with 1 ton included.

  • 10 yard for heavy demo: concrete, tile, brick, slab work
  • 20-40 yard for mixed demo: framing, drywall, cabinets, flooring
  • Same-day drop most San Diego zips — no missed demo days
  • Swap-outs while crews keep working
  • Plywood under every box — driveways stay protected
  • Clean concrete and clean wood loads get recycling rates

Sizing a demolition dumpster

Demo loads are heavy. A single bathroom tile tear-out can hit 1.5 tons before you blink. As a rule: anything with concrete, tile, brick, plaster, or stucco goes in a 10 yard regardless of project size — 10 yards is the only safe size for heavy material under DOT weight limits. Framing, drywall, cabinets, and flooring can go in a 20-40 depending on volume.

Kitchen, bath, and pool-deck demo

Kitchen demo: usually a 20 yard for cabinets + drywall + flooring, plus a separate 10 yard if you're pulling tile or a slab. Bath demo: a 10 yard handles most full bathroom tear-outs including tile and fixtures. Pool-deck demo: clean concrete in a 10 yard, sized by square footage — call us and we'll work it out by the slab depth.

Whole-house & structure demo

For full demo we usually run a 30 or 40 yard with 2-4 swap-outs. We coordinate with your demo crew so the empty box lands as the full one rolls out — no work stoppages waiting on a dumpster. For loads with heavy structural material, we split into clean-concrete 10 yards alongside the bulky 40s to keep weight legal.

FAQ

What size demolition dumpster do I need?
Heavy demo (concrete, tile, brick) — always a 10 yard. Mixed framing/drywall demo — 20-40 yard depending on volume. When in doubt, call. Wrong size on heavy debris is the #1 way demo jobs blow their budget.
Can I put a slab and framing debris in the same dumpster?
Not recommended. Clean concrete in its own 10 yard ships to a recycling facility at a cheaper rate. Mix it with wood and drywall and the whole load gets billed as mixed C&D, which costs more per ton.
Do you do same-day swap-outs for demo crews?
Most of the time, yes. Tell us your demo schedule and we'll pre-position swaps so your crew never stops.
How much is a demolition dumpster?
Starts at $699 for a 10 yard with 1 ton included — the most common demo size for heavy material. Larger sizes vary by zip and debris type. Overage tonnage is billed at the transfer station rate.
