- How much weight can a concrete dumpster hold?
- Our 10-yard heavy-debris bin is built for dense material and typically carries up to about 10 tons of clean concrete while staying inside California road weight limits. Concrete runs roughly 4,000 lbs per cubic yard, so the bin fills by weight long before it fills by volume — expect to load it about a third to halfway up.
- What size dumpster do I need for concrete?
- A 10-yard heavy bin, every time. Bigger 20, 30, and 40-yard boxes are for light, bulky debris — filled with concrete they'd be far too heavy to legally haul. For a typical 400–500 sq ft driveway or patio slab, plan on one to two 10-yard heavy bins.
- Can I mix concrete with other debris?
- Keep it clean if you can. A concrete-only load goes to a recycler at a much lower rate, while concrete mixed with wood, dirt, trash, or drywall gets billed as a mixed heavy load. Small amounts of rebar or dirt clinging to the slab are fine — just tell us what's in the pile when you book.
- Why a 10-yard bin for concrete?
- Concrete weighs roughly 4,000 lbs per yard. A full 20 or 30-yard bin would be too heavy to haul. The 10-yard heavy is the right tool — and it'll still hold a lot.
- Can I mix concrete and asphalt?
